Tom Cruise - Beckham can count on Cruise

Superstar friends David Beckham has one friend he turns to for advice more than anyone else: Tom Cruise. A new book, The Beckham Experiment by Sports Illustrated writer Grant Wahl, reportedly devotes an entire chapter to the superstar friendship, according to Gatecrasher.

Cruise has influenced a lot of Beckham’s decisions since they met in 2003, including the name of one of the soccer star’s kids, Cruz. But Beckham draws the line at Scientology. “He’s never turned around and said, ‘That is what you should be doing,’ because he would never do that. He and Katie have their beliefs,” Beckham says.
