Tom Cruise, Joshua Jackson back to finalize Vancouver picture sets: Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Joshua Jackson are hard at work in Vancouver this week as filming of blockbuster Mission Impossible 4 and hit sci-fi series Fringe grinds back into gear.

Film crews and film sets are popping up all over Hollywood North as the Christmas / New Year break comes to an end. Jackson, the Vancouver actor who plays Peter Bishop in Fringe, was seen arriving at Vancouver Airport on Sunday night, and word in the Twittersphere is filming will take place Wednesday at Lonsdale Quay.
The toothy-grinned Tom Cruise was photographed Tuesday while filming under Vancouver's Burrard Street Bridge. The shoot involved a van covered with Russian writing, and Cruise dressed in a black wool coat.
The action flick will be filming a night shoot at Vancouver Convention Centre this Thursday and Friday night. Crew were on site today hanging a banner of Cruise, and unloading palm trees to make the area appear like India.
Filming of television shows Smallville and Supernatural also start back this week. Also resuming production are Endgame, a drama series that will premiere on Showcase this spring, and Mr. Young, a situation comedy slated for Canadian release on YTV in March.
