Tom Cruise is Stacee Jaxx in the Film Version of Rock of Ages: It’s official and we told you at T2C back in September that Tom Cruise will play the aging  rock star Stacee Jaxx in the movie adaptation of the Broadway hit “Rock of Ages.”Cruise’s character, on Broadway, is played by Mitchell Jarvis and sings Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive”. He also sings in the ensemble songs  “I Wanna Know What Love Is.” Jaxx is also an egotistical womanizer.
 
Look for Anne Hathaway to play the journalist out to destroy Jaxx’s career, only to end up falling in love with him. Shouldn’t be too far of a stretch from playing Cat Woman in “The Dark Knight Rises”.

Look for Taylor Swift, Mary J. Blige, Gwyneth Paltrow, Russell Brand and Alex Baldwin to also make appearances. Constantine Maroulis will make an appearance in the film, but as to whether or not he will reprise the role of Drew is unknown. The film adaptation will be directed by Adam Shankman, the director and choreographer behind “Hairspray.” He also choreographed the musical dance scenes in films “Casper,” “George of the Jungle,” “Blast From the Past,” “Catch Me if You Can,” “The Wedding Planner” and others.
