Nicole Kidman is pregnant with her first biological child, it has been reported.

According to the Daily Mail, the actress and her husband, country singer Keith Urban, told their friends and families the good news over the Christmas holidays.

The new arrival will join Nicole's two children from her marriage to Tom Cruise, Isabella, 14, and Connor, 12.

In an interview with Vanity Fair this year, Nicole revealed that she had miscarried a child during the early years of her relationship with the actor but would be "very sad" if she did not eventually have a biological child of her own.

She is scheduled to make one film next year but has no other professional commitments for 2008, the paper reports.

Speaking to the Herald-Sun newspaper, a source close to Nicole said: "She did have a small baby bump a month ago, so it would be reasonable that she'd now be three months and telling her friends and family."

However, a spokeswoman dismissed the report, adding: "It is incorrect... she must have had about 30 babies by now."
