Tom Cruise is reportedly desperate to have a second child with wife Katie Holmes because he wants a little brother for his son Connor.

Tom and Katie welcomed daughter Suri in April 2006 - a little sister for Connor and his older sister Isabella from Tom’s marriage to Nicole Kidman - but after Nicole also had a little girl, Sunday, in July, the Moulin Rouge star revealed that Connor wants a brother too.

But a source told OK magazine: “At 41, Nicole knows she’s not likely to have another baby. It’s obviously up to the much younger Katie to give Connor that baby brother.“Katie and Tom very much want another baby [too].“There may be no better time than now for Katie to get pregnant again and absolutely nothing would make Tom happier.”Katie is currently appearing in All My Sons on Broadway.
