Victoria Beckham has been left disappointed after A-list star Katie Holmes refused to get involved with her new US reality series.

Posh had hoped that close friend Holmes would appear in an episode of the show, which starts on the NBC network this week. However, Katie's husband Tom Cruise advised her to focus on comeback movie Mad Money.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "Tom doesn't feel a knockabout TV reality show is quite the vehicle for Katie to reignite her career after giving birth to daughter Suri. They're really fond of the Beckhams but this sort of project is not really for A-list performers."
