Following Tom Cruise's successful performance as Les Grossman at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Entertainment Weekly reports that the chubby, balding, profane movie producer will be getting his own movie.
The return of the popular Tropic Thunder character was a big hit with viewers, so Cruise should get used to dancing around in that fat suit. In a press release from Paramount.
The studio announced that they have already "secured the life rights to Grossman," and quipped that the movie mogul character "recently mentored talents such as Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner."
Cruise is expected to also produce the film, along with Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld; Michael Bacall ( Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) has been tapped to tackle the screenplay.
"Les Grossman's life story is an inspiring tale of the human class struggle to achieve greatness against all odds," said Stiller in a statement. "He has assured me he plans to quote 'F---ing kill the s--t out of this movie and make Citizen f---ing Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.' I am honoured to be working with him."
